Make A Life Better
WHO WE ARE: Cobb County Sources of Strength is your local chapter of Sources of Strength, a national suicide prevention program focused on mental health promotion and increasing resilience for middle and high school students. Sources Of Strength has been listed on The National Best Practices Registry by the Suicide Prevention Resource Center and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
100% OF YOUR DONATION: There is no organization that uses donation funds better than your local Cobb County School’s SOS programs. Why? Every single penny goes to support each school’s program… 100% of the donation.
IMPACT OF YOUR DONATION: Through SOS training and education in our local schools, more students are reporting feeling connected to an adult or peer in their school that they can talk to. Sources of Strength’s training in our school district is aimed at continuing to increase positive connections for students.
OUR GOAL: To spread the message of hope, help, and strength throughout our schools. When life gets stressful, there are people, activities, and practices that our youth can rely on so they can continue to thrive. Our trained Adult Advisors and Peer Leaders promote healthy coping strategies, ways to ask for help, and a sense of belonging within our schools. We focus on well-being through fun, interactive events, and campaigns throughout the school year.
